Winter is gone and spring is here, and that means market days are coming soon! We’re so excited about a new farmers market season, with all the delicious, local, farm-fresh food it brings! Check out the collage above — some amazing photos from last year’s markets: dozens of reasons to set a reminder to attend every Saturday this season.

Our opening day will be Saturday, May 7, from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.

However, we’ve got a very exciting new change for this year’s market — a new location! There’s more info about that below, as well as an opportunity to help one of our farmers who has a unique need.

Thanks for supporting local food and local farmers. Let the countdown to opening day begin! 1 month and 1 day away…

A NEW LOCATION

We have moved to the Osage Beach Outlet Mall!

On Osage Beach Parkway, near Dierbergs and the City Park, we think this is a great new location for our market.

Even better: our vendors will be set up right at the main entrance to the mall, so you can’t miss us! See you there!

A LOCAL FARMER IN NEED

If you’ve shopped at the market, chances are you’ve fed your family with fruit, veggies and baked goods from Rolling Springs Produce. Roman Miller is the face of that farm: he and a few other families grow food in a small Amish community in Dixon, Mo.

In late-December, at the family’s butcher shop, Roman’s oldest son Stephen was seriously injured when a piece of equipment exploded. A heavy piece of metal hit Stephen in the face, breaking his orbital socket, fracturing his cranium, and giving him a serious concussion.

Stephen has recovered, but the Miller family is now dealing with medical bills surpassing $10,000.

The Miller family didn’t ask us to do this, but we’re asking you: please consider sending them a donation to help offset the immense costs. This is an opportunity to show our gratitude for the part they have played in our market, and the food they’ve put on so many of our dinner tables.

If you want to help the family, send a check to:
Roman Miller
20745 Maries Road #636
Dixon, MO  65459
Checks should be made out to Roman Miller.

And if you’ll email us after you’ve mailed the check, we’ll match your donations — dollar-for-dollar, up to a total of $500.

Email us at info@osagebeachfarmersmarket.com.

The other way you can help the Miller family is to shop at the market — the proceeds from their produce sales are a significant portion of their income. Thanks for anything you can do to help a local farmer in need!
